Learn To Pray - Luke 11 KJV

I decided to take my questions to scripture. What were we told to do from scripture? How were we instructed to communicate with the father? Let's take a look.

What is referred to as the Lord's Prayer:

“And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.”

[Source: King James Bible Luke 11:2]

In Luke 11 we can see how Jesus instructed the disciples to pray. You can simply think of this as God's direct line. Open your prayer with what we call the Lord's Prayer, take some time to speak to the Father, you can use it to repent, ask for guidance, and seek knowledge in the scriptures, etc... Don't be lead outside the scriptures, don't allow man to dictate how to pray when we were given such direct guidance from the Father on the subject.

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.

Give us day by day our daily bread.

And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us.

And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.

You can always talk with the Father, don't be shy, he sees your thoughts, he knows you better than you know yourself, reach out and accept his Grace. I'm on a journey and I don't want to sound like I have all the answers, I just don't. My biggest concern is sharing my journey and hoping it helps others on theirs.

For a better understanding pray and study Luke 11.

God Bless,
